Texas Highway 121 Extension
The Urban Environment
The view from Trinity Park is a beautiful blend of trees, the Trinity River, and Downtown. Route 121 would straddle the river with a continuous 50 foot high bridge. It would block the view of downtown and reduce the river to a drainage ditch under a highway.
The bike and hiking trails along the Trinity are a unique treasure in Fort Worth. This highway would cross and cover the trails at multiple locations and would expose them to the litter and noise that accompanies any highway.
