HILL CLIMBING HINTS

MENTAL EFFORT TAKES YOU TO THE TOP
But if THAT's all it took, we'd be poppin' over hills like they were nuthin'

There's RIDING techniques:
1) Downshift BEFORE it gets hard to pedal.
2) Straighten your torso to make deep breathing easier.
3) Sit some, and Stand some. Both are good for you.
4) Push and Pull on the handlebars to help you push the pedals harder.
5) But MAKE SURE to keep the gear LOW. Better to spin than to walk!

And MENTAL Techniques are Important, too:
1) A Hill Climb is Shorter than Time Riding Into the WIND!
2) Divide the climb into "goals" by picking out intermediate points on the hill.
3) As you reach each goal, start looking at the next one.
4) Before you know it, you're coasting down the other side! REWARD, reward!
5) ATTACK the hill. SAVOR the challenge.
6) SNARL at it!
